In 2005 Tuncay Akal created this company to bring his expertise and knowledge he has gained in the last 70+ years he has been in this sector, to the global market to provide innovative and cutting edge technologies in the underwater sector. Over the last 20 years he and his company have developed many projects and technologies that have pushed the envelope forward.

Mission

We here at SUASIS aim to provide the most innovative and reliable technologies in the underwater sector. We strive to aid research and modern applications in the field of underwater technologies and acoustics.

Tuncay Akal

Tuncay Akal is a research scientist specializing in underwater acoustics and related technologies. He is currently the head of SUASIS Underwater Systems R&D Ltd., a leading organization in Turkey dedicated to advancing underwater research and development.

Dr. Akal has made significant contributions to the field throughout his career, authoring numerous scholarly publications that have collectively garnered over 3,360 citations. His research interests span diverse areas, including shear wave velocity, stochastic programming, pricing strategy, stochastic optimization, and maritime engineering.

With his expertise, Dr. Akal has played a pivotal role in advancing both the theoretical understanding and practical applications of underwater acoustics, benefiting academic research and marine engineering industries alike.
